Detroit Free Press agrees - A new PT is a good idea
The Detroit Free Press is running an article today about the quandary that is Chrysler's future product plans.
As a company with the clock ticking loudly to get back on its feet, they are looking to pare down the number of models (especially ones that are close duplicates but sold under multiple brands) and put forward a consistent and clear brand image for each of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep.
New York Daily News profiles our cause
Josh Max, a writer at the New York Daily News, has written up a nice piece profiling our efforts to save the PT Cruiser.

Jerry Flint advocates Save The PT position
I normally don't find myself agreeing with automotive journalist Jerry Flint, but this week's article over at Forbes have me nodding in agreement.
Of course, this might be because his position sounds oddly like that of the Save The PT petition.
Jerry is advocating expanding the PT Cruiser lineup, selling the PT as a Scion-esque line of small vehicles (an idea we arrived at a few months back when launching the petition drive).
Welcome to the party Jerry.
WSJ calls PT 'dead after 2009'
Citing an anonymous dealer report - the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the PT Cruiser will cease to exist after the 2009 model year.
Besides pointing out that this is a report from a single dealer of one of many details of a possible plan for Chrysler's future products - this should serve as yet another reason for us to get the word out about our petition before Chrysler blows this one by killing one of their best selling products.
